Very few institute's offer course in cosmetic technology. A course cosmetic technology is offered at Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Lady Amritbai Daga College for Women. Kakatiya University School of Distance Learning and Continuing Education, Warangal offers certificate course in cosmetic science. Mumbai University offers -Diploma in Cosmetics and Perfumary Technology.
You will need to check for the eligibility from the college admin office.If you wish you could go in for a course in cosmetology from - VLCC Institute, Pune (www.vlcc.co.in). Dr Nishita Sheth's Cosmetology Clinic (DNCC)-promoted International Dermesthetic Academy (DNCC-IDA) offers courses in cosmetology. Other institutes offering the course are Kosmoderma Academy, International Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, Bangalore, (iaam.info/about.html). Even MET-Richfeel Institute of Trichology, Mumbai Educational Trust, Bandra West, Mumbai (http://www.met.edu).
Diploma in Advanced Hair Science can be done from Institute of Cosmetic and Laser Surgery Center, Borivali (W), Mumbai,(http://icls.in) offer courses in Cosmetology. Cosmetology is an area of study and a career that focuses on hair, skin, and nails. Cosmetologists can do both hair and nails, or focus their careers in one area. With additional training and education a cosmetologist can also be an esthetician. Esthetics focuses on skin care only.
Training in beauty culture includes subjects like anatomy, physiology, client care, body language, sales and marketing, health and nutrition, besides knowledge of skin and hair, their characteristics and functions. Hairstyling is taught as an academic discipline in various polytechnics and also at some academies. Scientific and systematic training is important as much as it is to practice on live models and on blocks to get a feel of the actual process of hairstyling.

There are many training institutes like VLCC / Lakme / Jawed Habib etc. Every training institute have a different provision for admission based on course duration and course type. You need to contact the institute officials personally for specific admission details as it differs from one institute to another.
