Nowadays, CTET is considered mandatory in aided and private schools for the recruitment of PRT & TRT Teachers. No, it is not mandatory to do B.Ed if u have done MCA. CTET was introduced by the GOI in order to improve the teaching standards in schools. Apart from all the state level TET (Teacher Eligibility Test), CTET is mandatory to get teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to 8. Candidates who hold CTET Certificate are eligible to apply CBSE Schools, State/ Central Government Schools and all schools in Delhi. This certificate also adds weightage to the professional qualification, promotion, grade pay and the salary package. Candidates holding CTET certificate can also apply for the posts of PRT and TGT under DSSSB.
