CTET

The eligibility for Paper 1 is as follows:-
1. You have passed or currently in the final year of Diploma in Elementary Education with 50% marks in the Senior Secondary.
2. Under NCTE norms, the candidate who passed or currently in the 2nd year of Diploma in Elementary Education with 45% marks in Senior Secondary.
3. Applicants who have passed Senior Secondary Education or pursuing final year with 50% marks in Bachelor of Elementary Education.
4. Senior Secondary Education or its equivalent with 50% aggregate in Diploma in Special Education.
For Paper 2 the eligibility is:-
1. You should have either Completed or pursuing the final year of Diploma in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) along with B.A /B.Sc or
2. Completed or currently in last year of Bachelor in Education with at least 50% marks in B.A/ B.Sc. Or
Passed or appearing Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) with at least 45% marks in B.A or B.Sc. or
3. Qualified or appearing Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) and with 50% marks in senior secondary or
4. Passed or appearing 1-year B.Ed (Special Education) and with 50% marks in B.A or B.Sc. or
5. Completed or pursuing 4-year B.A or B.Sc.Ed and with 50% marks in Senior Secondary.

The paper of English has been divided into two sections: English Language and Pedagogy of Language.
Language Comprehension 15 Questions Reading unseen passages two passages one prose or drama and one poem with questions on comprehension, inference, grammar and verbal ability (Prose passage may be literary, scientific, narrative or discursive)

Role of listening and speaking; function of language and how children use it as a tool
Critical perspective on the role of grammar in learning a language for communicating ideas verbally and in written form
Challenges of teaching language in a diverse classroom; language difficulties, errors and disorders
Language Skills
Evaluating language comprehension and proficiency: speaking, listening, reading and writing
Teaching- learning materials: Textbook, multi-media materials, multilingual resource of the classroom
