Students applying to Curtin University Dubai UAE are expected to showcase decent language proficiency in both written and oral English. This allows students to interact with a global cohort, share experiences and learn from others easily. In general, the university requires an overall IELTS band score of 6.5, with no band lesser than 6.0 for most UG courses. The university accepts TOEFL, PTE and IELTS scores. However, the exact cut-off score for each programme varies greatly. Typically, the cut off is lesser for technical courses and higher if you are choosing a language, arts or management degree.

All Curtin University Dubai scholarships have some terms and conditions tied to them. Each scholarship or grant is provided for a specific duration and requires applicants to remain in 'good standing' with the university, and fulfil certain criteria. In the majority of such instances, you must remain enrolled in the same programme that you initially signed up for to retain scholarship eligibility, though you may be able to change your major or minor subjects. The Curtin Excellence scholarship, Curtin STAR scholarship, the John Curtin scholarship programme and the Harry Perkins scholarship are some of the major programs that offer fee rebates to both national and international applicants. This includes their living and food expenses (AED 4,640 or 1,09,632 per month), transportation (AED 370 or INR 8742 per month), utilities (AED 536 or INR 12664 monthly), medical and travel expenses, and the expenses for books and other university costs, which depend on the type of programme chosen. All students selected need to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee of AED 3500 (INR 83,164). If the course chosen involves exchange programs, where students travel to different locations for real-world exposure, the cost of the same is also added to the course fees. There are also several activities, entertainment facilities, clubs and amenities that students can avail, which have additional monthly charges.
