According to the present educational policy, you have your 10th education from Maharashtra and Diploma in Karnataka you are eligible to give the DCET exam in 2025. DCET stands for Diploma Course in Engineering Technician and is a Karnataka Examination Authority, KEA test for the admission into the second year engineering. To be eligible for appearing in the test you must have passed your Diploma examination in the subjects of your choice with at least 45% of marks (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC Category). Admission to any course at the K.S. Group of Institutions is not done based on the scores obtained in the DCET exam. Admission to BTech Lateral entry courses at the college is done based on the scores obtained in the previous examination. To be eligible for the corse, the candidates need to have a minimum of 45% marks in Diploma or any equivalent examination.

The result date of DCET in K.S. Group of Institutions was not mentioned; however, according to the KEA, the results of the exam would generally be released within 2-3 weeks. It has been anticipated that DCET was conducted in the month of July for the current year and the result of the test could have been announced in the month of August but dates are not accessible. The candidates are advised to visit official webpage of KEA or K.S. Group of Institutions to know about the latest announcement of results of DCET. Admission to B.E./B.Tech course in Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Engineering and Technology is primarily through KCET (45% seats) and COMEDK (30% seats), but 25% seats are on management quota.
