Candidates of DCET 2024 need to select their exam centers from the districts of Bagalkot, Bellary, Bangalore, Belagavi, Davangere, Dharwad, Kalburgi, Udupi, Mysore, Shimoga, Tumkur, and Vijayapura. Yielding to a DCET rank of 9561 in Computer Science AI and a Diploma score of 74.3 you will get to colleges with a fee structure below 2 lakhs. From the previous year's cutoffs few of the colleges are Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur – Computer Science and Engineering cutoff rank 2270, H K Es S L N College of Engineering, Raichur – Computer Science and Engineering cutoff rank 10587. Several other colleges such as P D A College of Engineering, Gulbarga and Rao Bahadur Y.Mahabaleswarappa Engineering College, Bellari can also offer admission within the range of the fee between INR 1.5 Lacs to INR 2 lakhs.

Depending on variables like student demand, technical difficulties or application process interruptions the government may decide to extend the DCET (Diploma Common Entrance Test) application form deadline. Extensions have historically been given when many students encounter difficulties finishing their applications by the original deadline such as server problems or delayed notices.
Watch the Karnataka Examinations Authoritys (KEA) official website or reliable news sources to stay up to date. The authorities might give an extension some thought if large number of pupils petition for one. There is currently no assurance

DCET 2025 Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must have completed a Diploma or equivalent test from a recognised institution with at least 45% marks in the fifth and sixth semesters combined. However, the minimal percentage of marks for SC/ST students is 40%.

According to the present educational policy, you have your 10th education from Maharashtra and Diploma in Karnataka you are eligible to give the DCET exam in 2025. DCET stands for Diploma Course in Engineering Technician and is a Karnataka Examination Authority, KEA test for the admission into the second year engineering. To be eligible for appearing in the test you must have passed your Diploma examination in the subjects of your choice with at least 45% of marks (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC Category). Admission to any course at the K.S. Group of Institutions is not done based on the scores obtained in the DCET exam. Admission to BTech Lateral entry courses at the college is done based on the scores obtained in the previous examination. To be eligible for the corse, the candidates need to have a minimum of 45% marks in Diploma or any equivalent examination.

The result date of DCET in K.S. Group of Institutions was not mentioned; however, according to the KEA, the results of the exam would generally be released within 2-3 weeks. It has been anticipated that DCET was conducted in the month of July for the current year and the result of the test could have been announced in the month of August but dates are not accessible. The candidates are advised to visit official webpage of KEA or K.S. Group of Institutions to know about the latest announcement of results of DCET. This particular institution has a good record of placing students within those respective fields, normally a record of 80-90%

Admission to B.E./B.Tech course in Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Engineering and Technology is primarily through KCET (45% seats) and COMEDK (30% seats), but 25% seats are on management quota. No bar exists on admission through management quota over KCET/COMEDK. The candidate must have 45% aggregate in 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology. Scores from JEE Main are also accepted. Application deadline: May-June every year. Total management quota seats: 210.
