There are so many reasons to study at Deakin University-

Yes, Deakin University is a top-tier institution and it ranks in the top 1% of universities globally.
The QS Rankings 2027, Deakin University ranking is #227 which is a decline from last year 2026. The university achieved an overall score of 53.2 in the ranking parameters of the Deakin University QS rankings.
It does not fall in the elite Group of Eight (Go8) research universities, but it is very well known in the world.

As per Shiksha Popularity Rankings, Deakin University is ranked #12 in Australia. It is actually among the top 1% of the best universities in the world. According to QS 2027, this university is ranked #227 in the world.
In Australia, QS 2026 ranks this university at #14. It means that it is among the top 20 in the country.

Getting a seat at Deakin Uni is somewhat competitive for Indian students. The Deakin University Australia acceptance rate for Indian students is around 75%. The university does tend to accept applications from students who meet the specific course cutoffs and prove their English proficiency.
Students who don't meet the entry requirements can also get in the university by enrolling in one of it's pathway programmes.

Students are generally provided a free digital copy of their academic transcript via the My eQuals portal, after completion of course. Students who have not received their transcript after 1 year of graduation, can purchase the same via the online order form on the Deakin Uni portal.
Other documents like the Testamur is provided in physical form via mail, within 4 to 6 weeks of graduation ceremony.
Law graduates can access their documents via the Student Central portal.

Deakin Uni does not charge any application fee from Indian students. Students can apply directly via Deakin International Student Portal or with help from an Shiksha Study Abroad counsellor.
However, students planning to enrol in a Deakin exchange programme may be required to pay an application fee in the range AUD 55 to AUD 110 (INR 3.8 K to INR 7.6 K).
