No, University of Delhi does not offer direct admission to its BCom courses. Earlier, the selection was done based on aspirants Class 12 performance. Now, the aspirants have to appear for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). This national-level entrance test is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission in participating universities/ institutes. Thus, aspirants of BCom at DU must take the exam and secure a valid score that meet the cutoff criteria.

For DU and JNU, the expected cutoff for MA Sanskrit is generally between 80-100 for the General category. Nevertheless, cutoffs are subject to variations depending on parameters such as applicant numbers and number of seats. Being a former DU student would not necessarily make a difference. Your score is good, you can easily get admission in both of the colleges.

For B.Tech. in Computer Science Engineering at Jamia Hamdard University Delhi, admission is based on merit in the JEE Main exam. You need to have passed Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with Computer Science, Chemistry, or Electronics, securing at least 50% aggregate. 

To get Computer Science Engineering (CSE) in a National Institute of Technology (NIT), aim for a minimum percentile of 95+ for general category and 80+ for reserved categories.

The best DU colleges under CUET vary by course, but SRCC, Hindu College, Hansraj College, LSR, and Miranda House are considered some of the best. SRCC is highly regarded for commerce, Hindu and Hansraj for science, and LSR and Miranda House for arts. Additonally, according to NIRF Rankings 2025, Hindu College is the top college in India, followed by Miranda House (rank 2).

As per the available Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar College (BRAC) reviews available, the placement rate and salary packages vary across the BA specialisations offered at the college. The placement rat across all specialisations ranges between 20% and 60%. The highest package recorded during the recent years was INR 15 LPA. For admissions in BCom honours at Delhi University, you need to have passed class 12 with minimum 45 percent aggregate. Plus, you need to study Maths/Applied Mathematics as a mandatory subject.

Yes,  in BCom hons, maths is compulsory, hence the students who did not study it in class 12th are not eligible for same. Delhi University has made maths or applied mathematics a mandatory subject removing the previous option of applying through Accountancy
