Yes. If it is possible for you to drop, then you can because it is better to pursue a course in which you are interested rather than doing some other course.

Every year, the cut-off for getting admission in DU is above 95%. It can be 99 percentage also. As every year, it is 98-99 percentage. They take only the highest marks holders in 12th. So, if you want admission there you should work hard.

Apart from DU, there are other colleges available for chemistry hons. For e. g. IITs, Jamia Millia Islammia, Jamia Hamdard, JNU, IP University etc. These universities are also good.

It depends entirely on the college and the subject you wish to pursue the degree. It ranges from as low as 87% in life sciences generally and as high as 96% for physics honors in Hansraj College. So, take the range as 87% to 97%.

There are no entrance test for B.Sc in Delhi University. Only board scores are considered for admissions.

It is difficult to search the university equally good as Delhi University. But you can think of Mahatma Gandhi University or IGNOU to opt M.Phil from distance education.
