Design Entrance Exam

Any candidate who wants to enroll in the MFM course of NIFT, Kangra must be an undergraduate degree holder in any discipline from any recognized Institute or University in India. Two critical components of the selection process are General Ability Test (GAT) and Personal Interview (PI). The GAT evaluates the candidates on general aptitude as well as knowledge about the domain, analytical and prudent judgment, while the PI evaluates the candidates on their creativity and imagination as well as resolving problems and communication abilities.

The highest package in NIFT Kangra's placements is about INR 11 LPA, but in general, the average package ranges from INR  4 LPA to INR 6 LPA, depending on candidate and portfolio quality. Companies like Ambattur Clothing Ltd, AGNI, and ABK Ethnics stay active in participation.

NIFT Kangra is the academic school for fashion studies, especially the postgraduate MFM program. The institute started functioning in 2009 and obtained widespread popularity as it provided strong academic sessions along with quality facilities like separate hostels for girls and boys, labs and a library. NIFT comes under the AICTE approved body of the government. Thus, NIFT offers a rigorous curriculum to train the students for industrial requirements. Students are given theoretical and applied knowledge that equips them for management, marketing, and product development among other roles in the garment industry.

To appear in the CEED 2026 exam, the candidate must have passed a degree, Diploma, or postgraduate degree exam of minimum three years. There is no limit on the upper age limit or number of attempts for appearing in CEED. CEED 2026 Admission Process

In addition to these books, Candidates should focus on solving past exam papers, sample papers and mock tests regularly in order to ace the exam.

Yes, there is partial marking in UCEED 2025 exam for MSQ and MCQ based questions. 

For instance, for MSQ questions, If all the four options are correct but ONLY three options are chosen and NONE of the incorrect options is chosen, the candidate will be awarded 3 marks (out of 4). Meanwhile, if only (all) the correct option(s) is(are) chosen and NONE of the incorrect options is chosen, the candidate will be allocated the full 4 marks.

The identity of the candidates will be verified by invigilators as well as IIT representatives. If the identity of any candidate is in doubt, the candidate may not be
allowed to appear for the examination. 

However, at their discretion, the authorities may permit the candidate to appear in UCEED 2025 after completing certain formalities. However, No extra time will be allowed for time lost to complete these formalities. If candidates with doubtful identities are permitted to appear, their candidature will be subject to the decision of UCI Committee, which will be final and binding.

The candidate is not allowed to select their own scribes for UCEED 2026 exam. Instead, the exam conducting body will arrange for a panel of scribes. The panel will be prepared in coordination with the test centre administrator (TCA) of the examination centre.

The candidate has to select a scribe from the given list.

Exam officials will make the necessary arrangements through the test centre administrator (TCA) of the examination centre to provide a panel of scribes (amanuenses). Only such candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be considered for scribe services.

Scribes will be students of Class XI. The PwD/Dyslexic (severe) candidate has to choose a scribe from this panel. The candidates are not be allowed to bring their own scribes.
