If you are passionate about design and are willing to go the extra mile and work extremely hard to carve a career in design then do try out the Master's course at NID.
I am currently pursuing my Masters in “New Media Design" @ NID and I have a lot of mechanical engineers as my batch mates.
Yes, there is an age limit of 30 years to apply for a Master's course at NID.

Yes, that's possible if you have the courage of spending 10-15 lakhs after your B.Com and if you have the courage of studying for 4 more years.

Yes they have. Also, there is a common entrance for all the design programmes. Maths, English, GK and creative (drawing based) questions are asked.

NIFT has a common entrance exam in all the cities. Syllabus remains the same. There are two parts of the exam, one is general ability test, in which maths (10th class level), GK, English are asked and the other one is creative ability test in which drawing and coloring based questions are asked.

I would like to correct the information and there will be 3 hours creative test and in that you have to make a sketch or drawing on given topics and plus English test which will check your grammar.
