NIFT conducts the counselling for offering admissions across all the sixteen campuses. Candidates will not have to pay any registration fee for the first round of NIFT counselling 2020. For the registration, students have to enter credentials such as form number, date of birth and password. Candidates will also have to select a counselling campus from where they will be participating in the NIFT counselling process. They will receive a system generated letter, SMS and an email on their registered mobile and email ID after successful registration from the authorities. The qualified candidates will have to visit the chosen campus of NIFT at 9:30 a. m. for document verification and seat allotment. They will be called for counselling based on their merit rank and availability of seat. They can select the seat in presence of the nodal officer by clicking on the computer screen. Post allocation of the seat, candidates will have to pay full fee at the NIFT campus. They will be issued an allotment letter/receipt duly signed by the nodal officer, which is important to collect. Please bring the following original documents for participation in counselling as under.

The scope of forensic Science study is vast. You can get jobs in various governments & private sectors. The study will improve your skills and knowledge. After completing your degree, you can open your own forensic practice & forensic service offices. You also may employ in Forensic Laboratories, Detective Offices, Banks and other government. A major chunk of trained forensic scientists are hired by the Intelligence Bureau (IB), the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), etc. Another interesting career, rather the most attractive option for forensic scientists is teaching in institutes which impart education in forensic Science. Though there are plenty of job options for forensic scientists, the major flaw of making a career in it is that most of the jobs come from the government and if someone fails to get a job within a prescribed age there are not many options for such a person; therefore, it seems a tad risky. These include natural and man-made materials, interaction of materials with machines, safety and health, energy conservation, and waste and pollution control. There is wide scope for research in this area as the industry demands the need to improve currently available products and develop new ones.
