After completion of Diploma in EC, you should opt for lateral entry admission in the second year of Engineering. You can opt for Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics, Electronics and Telecommunications branch of engineering as per your own interest.

Lets clear the confusion first. PGDM in India is considered to be an MBA-equivalent program. The difference being that Indian institutions that are autonomous offer PGDM (as they are not allowed to offer degrees), and those that are affiliated to a university offer an MBA. In terms of course content, the PGDM and MBA are similar, though the PGDM courses are sometimes considered better because they are more adapted to industry needs.

In addition, one can assume, that a PG is for the introduction into a new field of discipline, while a Masters is considered an advanced stage to the initial studies carried from previous knowledge. It is like, Post graduation Diploma can be used as a building block towards the Master's degree.
