Hi Manali, I personally think that distance mode is only good for getting a certificate. Classroom mode is more effective and efficient but if you are going for it I would suggest you to think about the college you are choosing, make sure it has a good placement record and a brand image.

Hi,
The correspondence mode of study is ideal for candidates who for some reason are not able to attend regular classes. The distance education mode of study is generally in the annual system of education and grants student a maximum period of 5 years to complete all the requirements of the curriculum. IGNOU, New Delhi is very well known for providing distance education courses in a lot of subjects. Apart from Indira Gandhi National Open University, some other institutes which offer M.A. Sociology in distance mode are:
Center for Distance and Open Learning, Jamia Millia Islamia University

The question is very interesting. One can pursue M.Com degree via regular mode and also through correspondence mode. Benefits of doing M.Com through regular course:-
The student who does M.Com as a regular course will get an opportunity to attend class room sessions. They will get more exposure to practical sessions as well. They will get proper guidance under experienced teachers or faculty members that will help them to be thorough with the subjects covered in course curriculum.
