Yes, you will get admission through lateral entry for B.Tech, but distance education in engineering is not possible because engineering college does not provide distance education.

If you are unable to make it to full time college for B.Com due to marks in class 12th, then B.Com through correspondence is a good alternate option. You can evaluate B.Com from School of Open Learning - Delhi University or IGNOU.

Dear Mohan,
To achieve your target, you have to crack the NET exam or would complete Ph.D in particular domain with good grade and you should have good command over your subject .
Many universities do consider the correspondence degree for their lecturer opening but some don't.
