Hello Shikha,
It's up to you that what you choose. If you prefer to learn from distance of course it should be considered as distance learning, but if you choose to regularly visit college and study there than degree must not contain distance learning.
If it's in distance learning than may be the degree you will get will be off distance learning.
However, I have heard about Amity that there degree carries distance learning even if you have completed your graduation normally. But I am not sure about it. You may visit the college and confirm this issue.

Yes, mass communication is the best. It has wide scope. But it has lots of subjects that one must focus on. You may pursue it through correspondence. But always remember that it is good to gain practical knowledge that you might not acquire in correspondence.
