Yes, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University offers the facility of regional and study centres, which provide students with access to study materials, counselling, and other academic support. BAOU has established 7 regional centres and more than 270 study centres across the state of Gujarat. The university has jurisdiction over the whole state of Gujarat. BAOU was established in 1994 by the Government of Gujarat. It is a UGC-recognised university, and has also been accredited by the NAAC with Grade 'A+'.

BAOU scholarships are offered under various schemes such as Covid Shiksha Suraksha Yojana, Shaheed Samman Yojana, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Research Fellowship,  and Parivar Pathey Yojana,  among others. Additionally, many government-funded scholarships are also offered at BAOU. The government-funded scholarships are given to students coming from SC/ ST/ OBC and other minority communities. The BAOU placement cell also organises campus interviews and has signed MoUs with various business organisations and placement agencies.
