BAOU Ahmedabad offers merit-based admission in its BA programmes. The applicants performance in the last qualifying exam is evaluated for selection purposes. Hence, candidates Class 12 or equivalent exam performance is considered. There is entrance exam score requirement.

The MSW programme offered by the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University is exclusively designed for those who have knowledge of the Gujarati language. As this course is offered in the Gujarati medium only. All the subjects taught during the course, including MSW programme is conducted in Gujarati.
