Delhi Technological University conducts lateral entry entrance test DTU LEET for direct admissions to the 3rd semester of 4 year B.Tech programmes offered by DTU under the lateral entry scheme. It is a gateway for Diploma holders to get admissions directly in the second year of the undergraduate B.Tech programme.

Admission to DTU is only based 12th marks as well as JEE Main marks. So you just need to score very good and enough marks for getting admission in college. But according to DTU eligibility criteria, the minimum percentage is 75 in 12 for being eligible for admission. It doesn't mean that you are now selected. You are just eligible for the admission. Now if you score very good marks in JEE Main then you may easily get the admission. I will advice you to score more in 12 like 85+ since the cut off is very high and in JEE Main you must score near 200 if you are under general category. Best of luck. If you are in the final year of mechanical engineering Diploma program then you are eligible for lateral entry exam in DTU.

Well, there are other things that need to be taken in account when it comes to eligibility your 10th, 12th, graduation marks other than CAT percentile. With this percentile, you are eligible, if the other percentage criteria are fulfilled.

No, there is no separate entrance exam for DTU, the only way to get admission in DTU is by clearing JEE Mains exam with a good and valid score.

There are two ways for Indian students to take admission in DTU. First is via JEE Mains and second via LEET exam.
If you have cleared your 12th board with 75% in PCM and cleared JEE Mmains then only you are eligible for admission in DTU or if you have 3 years Diploma then you can appear for LEET exam and on clearing that exam you will get admission in B.Tech through lateral entry program.

Well, you need to clear the JEE Mains exam with atleast 75% in boards or if you are having a Diploma then you need to clear LEET exam.

The answer would be, yes. You are eligible to apply. But you wouldn't get admission as the cut-offs of DTU are really high. Unless you are planning to drop for a year, I would suggest you go for some local college.
