DTU LEET 2019 Eligibility
The candidates seeking admission to the B.Tech lateral entry programmes should possess a state Diploma of three years in any branch of engineering or equivalent examination from a DTU recognised university. The candidates should secure a minimum of 60% (50-55% for SC/ST) marks in all the semesters as an aggregate. Final year students who meet the eligibility criteria can also apply for admissions. The only condition is that they need to produce all the certificates as proofs at the time of admission. Failing which, their candidature is subjected to cancellation. Age Criteria: Applicant must be minimum 18 years and maximum 26 years of age on or before 01.10.17. Relaxation in minimum age of 1 year only with approval of Competent Authority is permissible (such candidate need to apply for relaxation only at the time of admission). Delhi Region Candidates: A candidate passing the qualifying examination (Diploma) from a recognised College / Institute / University located within the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi will be considered for Delhi Region only. Outside Delhi Region Candidates: A candidate passing the qualifying examination (Diploma) from a recognised College / Institute / University located outside the National Capital Territory of Delhi will be considered for Outside Delhi Region only.

You should revise the subjects that you have studied in your Diploma. Solve previous years papers would help you knowing the pattern & complexity of exam. Time management will help a lot because the predictionsmathematics part of Lateral Entry Test would be
lengthy, and you have to attempt carefully. The entrance test shall comprise of two papers of one and half hour (1 Hr. ). Duration each. The first paper will be common to all candidates and second paper will be specific for respective programme. The test will comprise of only objective type of questions. Each question will have multiple (four) choices with one correct choice. Each correct answer will be awarded four marks, whereas one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. You have very less time to prepare. It's time to give your best shot. Best of luck!

Yes, 3 years Diploma from a state board will make you eligible to appear for DTU LEET examination of 2019. There of course some other criteria like minimum and maximum age that normally any normal student will be able to meet. Here a quick guide that will provide all the information you need to know about B.Tech Lateral Entry. So, make sure you read it and take necessary actions as per your choice of colleges. For Lateral Entry seats in Government Colleges entrance exams is the only way to secure a seat. However, for Lateral entry admission in private colleges apart from entrance exams direct admission through management quota is also possible. Though Diploma engineering courses may help in early exposure to the job market yet, you may miss out a few opportunities due to lack of a degree. In this case, you can opt for lateral entry in B.Tech. But, what is meant by a lateral entry in B.Tech and what is the procedure & eligibility conditions to get into the same? Though there are different admission procedures for different engineering colleges yet, entrance exam can be traced as a common basis to get into B.Tech Lateral Entry programme in any university or college.
