Economics is in much higher demand than finance. Finally, with an econ degree, you can do anything a finance major can, but the reverse is not at all true. Most jobs an econ major can do you would not be prepared for with a finance degree.

An IELTS score of 6.5 is a decent score, but I am not very sure of what you mean by an aggregate score of 7.0. Is it the overall IELTS band scale you are referring to or your Engineering/ Graduation CGPA/ SGPA. However, whatever be the case, IELTS as the name suggests is an examination for International English Language Testing System. Hi Sachin!
While choosing either of the courses mentioned, you must consider your preferences carefully. If you are looking forward to a career in the accounting and taxation field then B.Com (Hons. ) is the right programme for you. However, banking and finance aspirants will find Economics (Hons. ) more productive.

Hello Shivika, We have many desires in life. But in the end not all get fulfilled. It's quite likely that Roorkee may not be offering the course that you want to pursue. In that case it may not show up as an option. But does the brochure say that this course is available? Or may be your qualifications may not be meeting the eligibility criteria and hence the option is not showing up. You can try once again and if failing then please do approach registrar for lodging complaint.

Hello,
As per the UGC Norms, to become a lecturer at the university or colleges one must have the post-graduation and NET qualification certificate. The UGC NET is conducted for the determination of the candidates for the assistant professor at the university and JRF awards in research. If you want to be a lecturer, you need to qualify the NET examination. Although you can apply for the teaching in the high school or Diploma colleges. For the complete details regarding NET you may visit: https://www.eduncle.com/cbse-ugc-net-exam
