With 97 percentile in JEE Mains your rank would be between 30,000 to 35,000 which are very good rank you may get good NITs with Computer Science Engineering branch in NITs like NIT Patna, NIT Trichy, NIt Bhopal. There are some good private college in Chennai where you can get admission including SRM Institute of Science and Technology, VIT (Vellore or Chennai campus), and other private engineering colleges.

If you are from reserved category you may have chances for getting a good NITs as compared to others till the last round of Counseling process.

Yes, the last date for JEE Main Session 2 registration was indeed February 25th, 2025, and the deadline for submission was 9:00 PM IST,  according to Shiksha . The form correction window opened on February 27 and closed on February 28. 

With JEE Mains EWS rank 16462 there are good chances for you to get admission in Top NITs like NIT Trichy, Surathal or may be in NIT Bhopal but it would be very difficult to get the Computer Science branch because it is the most competitive branch among all. With an OBC-NCL rank of 2,05,084 in JEE Main, it's far very hard to get admission in B.E. Mechanical Engineering at MBM Engineering College.

You can attempt for private colleges or other branches with lower cutoff.
