As your son has scored very well in JEE Mains, and his predicted rank will be around 3.8K, and as per his rank his chances are very strong to get ECE at NIT Trichy or Suratkal. For better guidance, have a look over the link:

Your predicted general rank will be around 88K, because you belong to OBC category, your chances are good to get a few branches at NIT Jamshedpur.

As the cutoff tends to vary each year, so the exact cutoff is tough to predict for that. However, on an average you need to score around 150 -165 marks in JEE Mains to get CSE at NIT, Patna. Your OBC category will you also to get this college.

To help you out I am giving a link that will predict colleges for you when you input the percentile score:

Your chances are very strong. The marks you have scored now and the marks scored by AIR 1 will decide which NITs you will get.

Yes, it is a private college so don't worry. You can take admission easily even with low marks in JEE Mains.

Hello Tanya,
For general category students, the cut-off percentile fixed by JoSAA is 89.75. Unfortunately your percentile at 87.4 is not meeting required level & hence I am afraid you will not be able to register with JoSAA.

Truly speaking there is no chance in any NIT or in any IIITs at this rank. You may get GFTI colleges but can't get CSE or ECE.
