JIIT Noida JEE Main cutoff 2025 for the Round 1 had closing ranks between 70921 and 197144, with CSE being the most competitive for admission. While, Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design and Technology) had a lenient first-round closing rank of 197144 and was the least competitive for admission among the General AI category students.

Yes, the JEE Main 2026session 1 question papers are now available. The official papers were made available with the response sheet of the candidates under their respective logins on the official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in.

If a question is dropped in the JEE Main exam, then the candidates of the shift from which the question is dropped will get bonus marks. It does not matter if you attempted the question or not. If a question from your shift is dropped then you will be eligible for +4 bonus marks.

JEE Main 2026 consists of three papers: Paper 1 (BE/B.Tech), Paper 2A (BArch), and Paper 2B (BPlan).
The JEE Main exam for B.E./B.Tech (Paper 1) will consist of three sections - Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, consisting of 75 MCQs carrying 300 marks.
JEE Main Paper 2A will consist of 77 questions carrying 400 marks, and the BPlan paper will have 100 MCQs of 400 marks.

Usually, in the JEE Mains computer-based exam, questions from maths are presented first, followed by Physics and Chemistry.
But candidates can appear for any section first, as per their preference.

To be able to complete all questions in the JEE Mains question paper in 3 hours, candidates can follow a simple trick below:
Attempt the questions in rounds. Such as:
- In round 1, attempt the questions you find easy. Spend 45-60 minutes here.
- In round 2, go for moderate questions. Do not spend more than 70 minutes here.
- In Round 3, attempt the remaining difficult questions. In the last 30 to 45 minutes, candidates should focus on completing the tough questions.
Tip: Never spend more than 2-3 minutes per question initially.

The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 (January) exam was widely considered moderate to tough. Many students found it more challenging than in the previous years.
The question paper consisted of time-consuming questions. Mathematics and Chemistry were considered tricky, while Physics was relatively more manageable.
