Dear Anubhab,
With this rank, it will get somewhat difficult for you to get some good government college. Instead of settling down for some mediocre government college, it would be better if you try for some good private university. Many reputed private universities are offering B.Tech degree with various specializations including CSE and ECE. They have their different criteria for admissions. Some offer admission on basis of JEE scores, some offer admission on basis of their own tests and some offer admission on the basis of both. Some even off direct admission on basis of marks in class 12th. Some of the universities also offer schol

With this rank, you may get IEM ECE if you go up to the 3rd counselling. Else, you will get Heritage. Both of them are one of the best colleges in Bengal. Also, I will suggest you go for the private colleges only as the government colleges (except Jadavpur University) are in very bad condition (infrastructure, placement, locations, etc.). Also, if you are taking admission in private colleges go for only ECE, CS or IT branch. As the condition of core branches are really bad. Coming to the counselling after the first round if you will be provided with any college then you will have to be physically present there in any of the allotted ce

Though with this marks, getting into DTU is difficult. Try appearing for their own exam. Moreover, suggesting you to compromise with the core branches with the name of your college will not be a good decision,

Predict engineering colleges you can get on the basis of your JEE rank: https://www.shiksha.com/b-tech/resources/jee-mains-college-predictor?utm_source=cconnect&utm_medium=CR_JEECP&utm_campaign=8321427. In VIT placement are decent for civil but one should not depend on placements from VIT.
Most of the students go for a higher education. The highest pay till now in civil is 9 LPA which is rare.
Average pay around 4-5 LPA. Top companies visited are such l&T, Godrej and Tata housing. Mostly your role is such as site engineer and junior site engineer are offered. You have to have a minimum of 8.4 CGPA in order to even think about a job.
