With this rank, it will get somewhat difficult for you to get some good government college. Instead of settling down for some mediocre government college, it would be better if you try for some good private university. Many reputed private universities are offering B.Tech degree with various specializations including CSE and ECE. They have their different criteria for admissions. Some offer admission on basis of JEE scores, some offer admission on basis of their own tests and some offer admission on the basis of both. Some even off direct admission on basis of marks in class 12th. Some of the universities also offer scholarships on basis of your performance in class 12th or JEE or even during the course. You can check the details of any of the reputed universities like VIT, Lovely, SRM, etc. All these universities have a wonderful infrastructure and world-class facilities to offer to students apart from good placements.

With this rank, you may get IEM ECE if you go up to the 3rd counselling. Else, you will get Heritage. Both of them are one of the best colleges in Bengal. Also, I will suggest you go for the private colleges only as the government colleges (except Jadavpur University) are in very bad condition (infrastructure, placement, locations, etc.). Also, if you are taking admission in private colleges go for only ECE, CS or IT branch. As the condition of core branches are really bad. Coming to the counselling after the first round if you will be provided with any college then you will have to be physically present there in any of the allotted centres and will have to do document verification. And once the 3rd round is done, you will have to go to the allotted institute and will have to take the admission.
