It seems that you are skeptical about your performance in BITSAT this year. However, I would suggest you keep your hopes high.
And, to answer your query, you can also go for the dual degree at BITS. Here, you have to score well in your first semester and keep your CGPA above 8.0 in order to switch to BE in CSE.

BITS HD Entrance Exam is similar to GATE examination. If you are clear with your B.Tech subjects, and in touch with the concepts, you will do well. Preparation of GATE, gives you an upper edge in BITS HD Entrance exam, as the questions are not very different. All the best.

The cutoff rank for VITEE for you interested courses are as below:
1. CSE : upto 7000
2. ECE : upto15000

There is no such qualifying marks for getting direct admission in BITS-Pilani. You need to appear for BITSAT examination for getting a seat. There is only a single provision of direct admission, if you are a Board Topper. The cutoff marks for BITSAT Exam can be seen from here:

Yes, you have good chances of him getting CSE at Sastra University. You would be admitted under category 1, which is based on the combined score of both JEE Mains and board exam marks. All the best.
