If you clear GATE you will get job in PSU which use GATE score to hire engineers. You will get CTC around Rs 6+ Lakhs. Private sector does not use GATE score for hiring.

You are advised to study well and prepare for GATE. GATE will help you admission in M.Tech and job in PSUs. You may also prepare for Indian Engineering Services examination.

It is good that you are serious about cracking this exam and this is what you must do
Read your NCERT books thoroughly and practice the solved examples exercises as well as additional questions thoroughly.It is most important that you pay sufficient attention to these books before practicing some competitive stuff. It is very important that you highlight or underline some important points and key words. Believe me you wont find enough time to go through your text after just before your exam .
please do maintain a formula book where in you write all the formulas you come across and note the derivation whereever necessary

dear vikrant its not on how much you study its on how much you understand and doubt.if u ll understand clearly then there be be doubt for sure make them clear. then they will be completely in Your mind. read by liking it. 3 parts PCM make their chapters into parts and study each subject Atleast 2 hours if u read one then youll get doubt 1 hour for clarification of doubts then it will be easy totally study Atleast 9 hours a day
