Focus on your basics in mathematics, physics and chemistry. Don't try too hard on doing advanced level problems and yes try to avoid spending too much time on same question. Students try to spend more time on some topics or questions due to which they are not able to give essentially required time on other topics or questions.
Due to this they end up in messing up everything they have learnt so far. Try to understand your weak topics and give them not more than required time which may not hamper your other topics or questions. Study one topic at a time. At present, it can't be said about cutoff. But, you must know that IIT - Kharagpur is under top 4 IIT. So, aim high, you will definitely score high.

It doesn't depend on quantity but it depends on quality of study done in that time. You must make most use of your time. Some study for 5 hours and crack JEE and some more than 18 hours. So, you should study with full concentration in your study time.

+2 board and JEE Mains are both considered for rank to get in the NITs. 40% board and 60% of JEE Mains marks are calculated.

Dear Ruby,
You can take admission in state technical university affiliated colleges, for this purpose you need to appear for an entrance exam conducted every year by respective university/colleges etc.

In any way you would have to study yourself. A teacher will only show you the path. It is you, who will walk. If you can prepare it yourself then there is no need of wasting your time elsewhere but if you need help then you must join. You should ask yourself, what is your need?

No, you can't apply for BITSAT but there are many good colleges under JEE mains. So, you must go with it. Even you can apply for other entrances.
