Hi Raushan,
With 66%, for NIT Patna you need a really good score of about 270 and if you have the state quota then 250+ would do for NIT. Moreover, if you have any other quota benefits then the requirement would vary accordingly.

With a rank of 40,000, you can try for NITs and IIITs. Also you can try for various other government colleges like Delhi Technological University, and Netaji Subhash Institute of technology (NSIT), New Delhi.
In addition to these universities and colleges, you can also apply for various government colleges in different states if your state doesn't have it's own engineering entrance exam.

Hi,
Here, I have given all the eligibility criteria for BITSAT 2016.
Students must have passed the 12th examination from a recognized central or state board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Also, they must have adequate proficiency in English.
They should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology subjects in 12th examination. Candidates must secure at least 60% marks in each of these subjects individually.
Only Students, who are appearing for 12th examination in 2016 or who have passed 12th Examination in 2015, are eligible to appear in the online test.

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is conducted to offer admissions to interested candidates in undergraduate engineering programs at NITs (National Institutes of Technology), IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology) and other centrally funded technical institutions (CFTIs) located across the country.
JEE Main 2016 dates have been announced. The offline exam will be held on April 3. While, the online exam will be held on April 9 and 10, 2016.

Round 1, 2, 3, 4 in JEE Mains refer to the counselling round.
The common merit list that is prepared is based on the candidate's performance in the exam. Please, remember that only those aspirants, who have taken both paper 1 and paper 2 will be considered for ranking.
As far as the marking system is concerned, the marks secured by a candidate in physics will be equal to the marks he/she secures in physics part of paper 1 plus marks in physics part of paper 2. The same procedure is followed for chemistry and mathematics too. Thus, the sum of the marks obtained in individual subjects in JEE advanced 2015 will be the aggregate ma

Yes JEE is necessary to get admission in IIT. Percent changes each year depending on the toughness of paper but one must have AIR under 1500 to get aerospace in IIT Bombay. In my year i.e 2014 aerospace closed at 1800 AIR and mark required for AIR 1800 was around 210/360 which is 60% but it changes each year depending on Paper.

Aerospace Branch is available in IIT Bombay Kanpur and Kharagpur. At bombay cutoff rank is around 1500 at kanpur it close at around 2500 and at Kharagpur it closes around 3500 so one must have AIR under 3500 to get aerospace in IIT.

Yes, as per sources, aspirants giving their Class 12 exams in 2017 would be the first batch to appear for this exam. Hence, most likely, NAT will replace JEE in the upcoming year 2017.
