You can get direct admission to Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE) in Madurai. You can speak to a counselor for information on current seat availability and management fees. 

To be admitted to the IT department at TCE, you need to score at least 45% in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class XII. The general category closing rank for B.Tech information technology in 2021 was 2700. 

Here are some other TCE cutoffs for 2021: 

  • B.Tech computer Science and business system: 3526
  • BE civil engineering: 6725

You may also need a strong recommendation to get a management seat.

To enter Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE) in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, you need to score at least 45% in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class XII. The minimum qualifying marks for reserved category students is 40%. 

Admissions are based on the normalised aggregate marks in Class XII PCM through TNEA counseling. The admission process varies depending on the stream.

  • General: 1737
  • OBC: 2782
  • BC-Muslims: 4378
  • Most Backward Classes: 5308
  • TANCET: 97.23 marks

It varies on the exams and colleges. Government colleges, particularly elite government colleges, require a higher cut-off in JEE Mains or state JEE.

If you wish to join a private school, you must first verify the qualifying requirements on their websites.

Hi, you may get a seat in TCE Madurai by August, since TANATA results and counseling would be around July end. It also depends on what score you get in TANATA.

You can get admission at the age of 35 in graduation but there is limit of giving entrance exam for that as you can attempt JEE in 3 times only. So if you want a good college you need to qualify JEE.
