Candidates can change the following details during the GATE 2026 form correction process -
- Name
- Date of Birth
- Choice of exam cities
- Change in existing cities
- Adding a second paper
- Gender change
- Change in category, etc.
Candidates who want to modify their application form have to pay a specific amount through netbanking/credit card/debit card, etc. Last year, the fee for each change was INR 500 per particular.

If the students can attempt all 130 questions in less than 3 hours, then they will be given 12 additional questions to solve within the remaining time. From each section i.e., Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology and Logical Reasoning, 3 questions will be available. Students will not be able to go back to the previously attempted 130 questions, once they start solving the additional questions.

According to the official BITSAT exam pattern, every correct answer will be given 3 marks. The maximum marks for BITSAT is 390. However, for every wrong answer, the authorities will deduct one mark. Since there is negative marking, the students are advised to be careful while selecting the questions to answer.

The different GATE 2026 application statuses are as follows -
- Received - this means that your application form has been received.
- Under scrutiny - this means that your application form is under review.
- Accepted - this means that your application form has been accepted by the GATE authorities.
- Defect status - this means that some particulars are incorrect and must be corrected within the stipulated time.
- Status after rectification - this states your application status after submitting the rectified details.
- Rejected - means that your GATE application form is rejected for a valid reason.

The steps to check the GATE application form status is as follows -
- Visit the GATE 2026 website - gate2026.iitg.ac.in
- Click on the application portal and login using the credentials
- The application status of the candidate will be displayed on the screen.

Yes. The UPESEAT 2026 exam will be condcuted as a remote proctored test. Candidates have to turn their cameras on for the entire exam duration. This measure is taken so that no student gets any undue advantage with the test being held online.

No, the students will not be able to correct all of their submitted details through the BITSAT application correction facility. Out of all details, the students cannot edit their gender, email ID and mobile number. While filling out these information in the application form, the students should carefully revise them before submitting it.

No, a BTech degree is not exclusive to only IITs. While IITs do offer BTech, various other engineering colleges in India also provide BTech degrees.
