Dear reader,
As a LPU student this is my perspective towards asked question,
Lovely Professional University (LPU) provides a clear edge for B.IT in CSE students due to its NAAC A+ accreditation and a curriculum co-developed with IT behemoths like Google, Microsoft, and IBM, even though Chandigarh University and Chitkara University are both reputable universities. Its expansive campus acts as a center for global innovation, regularly landing record-breaking placements with Fortune 500 businesses and offering unmatched access to cutting-edge technologies like cybersecurity and generative artificial intelligence.

No, the B.Tech Lateral Entry course at Quantum University is not free. The tuition fees for B.Tech programs typically range from approximately ₹1,20,000 to ₹1,50,000 per year, excluding hostel and other charges. While not free, the university does offer scholarship opportunities based on merit and entrance exam scores, as well as EMI facilities to manage payments.

Lovely Professional University Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology CBIT is well regarded in Telangana for engineering, with steady placements (especially in CSE), focused academics, and the advantage of being close to Hyderabad's tech ecosystem; faculty attention and peer competition are strong, and costs are comparatively lower, while infrastructure is more traditional and hostel facilities are functional rather than luxury-focused.
LPU offers a much larger campus environment with modern infrastructure, diverse exposure, and a wide recruiter base visiting across disciplines, which can translate into good opportunities if you act

Lovely Professional University For computer Science (B.Tech CSE) at LPU, the total tuition for 4 years is roughly around ₹12–13 lakh, and hostel charges typically add about ₹3–8 Lacs depending on room type and facilities, so the combined cost is commonly in the ₹16–21 Lacs range excluding optional mess charges; LPU also offers scholarships that can significantly reduce tuition based on LPUNEST performance, academic marks, or other merit categories, so the actual payable amount can be lower if you qualify.

Basically, you have three ways to get in. The most common route is the Q-CARE exam, which is their own entrance test; it's definitely worth taking because it's the primary way they hand out scholarships. If you don't want to take another test, they also accept JEE Main or CUET scores. For those who performed really well in high school, there's a direct admission option based on your Class 12 marks. Once you fill out the online form and get a provisional offer, you just have to verify your documents and pay the fee to lock in your seat.
