Eligibility criteria for admission to B.E./B.Tech in Tamilnadu College of Engineering are: 10+2 with 50% aggregate (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and having Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational as compulsory subjects. Candidates have to appear for counselling in TNEA, which is the short form for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions. Cut-off marks for admission are: General category-145-197; BC category - 133-190; MBC category - 120-175; SC/ST category - 90-155. Admission B.E. / B.Tech Admission in D.K.T.E. Society's Textile and Engineering Institute through MHT CET for 80% of seats and JEE Main for 20% of seats. For any particular course, the candidate must have scored at least 50% aggregate at 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Eligibility criteria for B.E./B.Tech at D.K.T.E. Society's Textile and Engineering Institute: 10+2 with 50% aggregate (45% for reserved categories), obligatory- Physics and Mathematics, optional- Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational. Maharashtra candidates need an MH CET score whereas outside Maharashtra students need a JEE Main score. Lateral entry is also permissible for Diploma holders. The dates of JEE Main results are generally in February for Session 1 and May for Session 2. Pondicherry Engineering College does accept scores from JEE Main for admission. Cut-off ranks in PEC as follows: General (15,000-25,000), OBC (20,000-30,000), SC (40,000-50,000), ST (50,000-60,000). Counselling would typically start with registration in June, seat allocation in July, and admission confirmation in August. During my years at Pondicherry Engineering College, the selection procedure comprised online registration on the PEC website, which charges an application fee of INR 500-1,000. The application form is properly filled with the requirements and submitted. Requirements Upload 10th and 12th marks sheets, JEE Main/ GATE admit card, and Transfer Certificate. The Eligible candidate participates in CENTAC counseling for B.E./B.Tech and GATE-based counselling for M.E./M.Tech. PhD candidates clear the entrance test and interview for selection. They have multiple access routes through which the aspirants can get into Pondicherry Engineering College. For the B.E./B.Tech course, 45% of the seats are available based on the scores obtained in JEE Main through the counselling of CENTAC. Of the total 25% is through the management quota 15% through the all-India quota, and 5% through the NRI quota with lateral entry for the Diploma holders.
