The Institute of Technology, Nirma University was ranked #133 by NIRF 2025. It has made its mark out of 4000 Private and Government Engineering colleges in India. The college has been consistently ranked by various ranking bodies. In 2023, Times of India and India Today ranked it at the position of #41.

BTech fees for first year admissions at MIT School of Food Technology is INR 8.04 Lacs for the academic year 2026. For BTech lateral entry, BTech fees might be INR 6.08 lakh. This fees will be charged on yearly basis at the beginning of each year.

According to the seat intake data from MIT School of Food Technology, 12 out of the 120 seats for first year BTech admissions are reserved for EWS category candidates.
It must be noted that candidates of the EWS category are only eligible for these reserved seats if they have Maharashtra domicile.

Candidates who take admission in the first year of BTech at MIT School of Food Technology will have eight total semesters in the curriculum. However, candidates who got lateral entry into the BTech course will skip the first year of the course. This means they will have six semesters in their BTech course.

BTech in Computer Science and Engineering at ITNU is the most competitive branch amongst all. The cutoff is the highest in it. The closing rank was 302 for general category as per 2025 cutoff. For SC – 4021 and for OBC it was 839. There are other branches like Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, where competition is generally low. Students who have low rank can opt for branches which are lesser competitive.

The JEE Main exam is conducted in two sessions. Session 1 application starts from October last week to Nov last week. The exam is conducted in last week of January. Results of JEE Main session 1 are released by second/third week of Feb.
JEE Main Session 2 application form starts from second week of March. Exam is conducted in first week of April. Results are out by second/third week of May. The exam is accepted by Universities all over India for admissions in BTech.

The application forms are out in second week of December and end around first week of January. The exam is generally conducted in last week of March. Results are released by April last week. GUJCET exam is accepted for BTech admissions in almost all universities of Gujrat. Students can take admission by applying through ACPC website after exam results. The seat allocation is based on merit rank of qualifying exam.

Then, candidates can download the admission form. Once the candidates have filled to admssion form, they can either mail or submit in person at the address of MIT School of Food Technology campus.
