PG Diploma in Computer Science is a 1-year short-term programme designed to provide students with the foundation knowledge about Computer Science disciplines. SHUATS offers a full-time BTech course with 14 specialisations. Admission for a BTech course is subject to a valid score in the SHUATS Online Entrance Test (SOET) for Agricultural Engineering, Food Technology and Dairy Technology specialisations. For the remaining BTech specialisations, admission is subject to online counselling conducted based on the basis of merit (in the last qualifying exam).

IIT Varanasi Cutoff 2024 was concluded for admission to BTech, BArch and other courses, based on candidates' performance in JEE Advanced. As per the last-round cutoff, the closing cutoff for various courses ranged between 1071 and 22390. The toughest course out of all was BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, with the last-round closing rank of 107, for the General AI category candidates. The least competitive course was BArch, with the last-round cutoff of 22390, for the General AI category. Therefore, it s possible to get into IIT Varanasi with JEE Advanced arank of 9000. To get admission in DPG Institute of Technology and Management for M.Tech, the candidates need to fulfill the following criteria:
- Possess a degree in B.Tech / B.E in the respective discipline with atleast 50% marks. (45% in case of SC candidates)
- GATE score as required by the college.
If the GATE qualified candidates are not available, the remaining seats will be filled up with candidates on the basis of merit of marks scored in the entrance test conducted by the university.
While the requirements seems not too hard to get, it doesn't necessarily means it will be easy to get admission for M.Tech because of the increasing

The University has disclosed the placement percentage for UG (4-year) courses. From 2022 to 2023, a decline of 5% was recorded in the UG (4-year) placement rate. Furthermore, the placement rate for PG (1-year) courses has improved year-on-year. On the other hand, a fluctuating trend was recorded in the PG (2-year) placement rate. During the Central University of Kashmir CUET cutoff 2024, the last round cutoff score was 49.4 for admission to BTech in Computer Science & Engineering course. The Round 1 cutoff score for the same course was 86.45. So, considering the first and the last round CUET UG 2024 cutoff scores, candidates seeking admission to CSE must aim to secure over and above the cutoff mentioned here. The DPG Institute of Technology and Management accepts admissions based on merit as well as the GATE examination for its M.E./M.Tech course. Although the GATE exam scores required have not been published online, one can expect the chances of admission increasing due to the examination. The institute accepts valid GATE exam scores.
