As per the SIRT Bhopal admission process, the selection to a full-time M.Tech prorgamme at the college is merit-based. Candidates must be graduated with BTech from a recognised board to be eligible for admission. The college offers direct admission to students who meet the basic eligibility requirements. The final seat allotment is done through DTE Counselling.

IIT Mandi JEE Advanced Cutoff was released for Round 3. The Cutoff ranks were released for different categories under the AI Quota. For the General AI category candidates, the most competitive course was BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, with the closing Cutoff of 2909. The easiest course to get into was B.Sc in Chemical Sciences, for which the Cutiff closed at 15365, for the General AI category candidates.For the OBC AI category candidates, the most competitive course was CSE, with the Cutoff of 1269. The easiest course for the OBC AI category candidates was B.Sc in Chemical Sciences, with the Cutoff of 5884.

The curriculum of BTech in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) at PMIST is spread over a period of eight semesters. It includes various core, elective, theory and practical (lab) subjects. The Inderprastha Engineering College average package 2023 is yet to be released. However, the NIRF report 2024 incorporates the 2023 median package. As per the report, the median package 2023 offered to BTech students was INR 4.33 LPA. In 2022, the median package was the same as in 2021. Check the table below depicting the IPEC median package for the past three years:

The college has not released the branch-wise placement details. As per the combined placement report 2023, the highest package offered was INR 36.50 LPA. Further, 168 companies offered job opportunities and selected a total of 703 students during Inderprastha Engineering College placements 2023. Earlier, 178 companies offered jobs during 2022 placements, and over 1,300 students were placed.

With a 57th percentile in the JEE Mains, getting admission to a good college for a B.Tech in CSE would depend on the cutoff of the applied colleges. Generally, top colleges have higher cutoffs for the CSE branches. For all undergraduate courses across India, state domicile candidates from Jharkhand have options like NIT Jamshedpur and BIT Mesra through state counseling, which have some fixed quota for state candidates.
