At exam centre, students will have to mark their answers in WBJEE OMR sheet. The sheet will be provided by the authorities. Out of given options, correct answer has to be marked in OMR sheet, by darkening appropriate circle/bubble.

Wrong answers will be negatively marked in WBJEE. Weightage of the negative marking depends on the category of questions. Category I and II questions have negative marking. There is no negative marking for Category III questions.

Students can choose their exam centres while filling the WBJEE application form. During the application process, the students will have to choose three exam cities according to their preference. The selection has to be done carefully as it will be considered for centre allotment.

WBJEE application fee for General male candidates is INR 500, while for all female and reserved category male category candidates, it is INR 400. Reserved category female and general third gender candidates have to pay INR 300 as application fee. Finally, for reserved category third gender candidates, application fee is INR 200.

Students have to check the official WBJEE eligibility criteria to know if they eligible or not for the admission process. All students have to be of Indian nationality and should atleast 17 years old in the admission year. In the 12th standard qualifying exam, the students should have scored minimum 45% (40% for reserved category) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. They should have also individually passed in these subjects. At least 30 marks should have been scored in English.

WBJEE 2026 dates will be announced online at wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee. Students are advised to stay updated with the official dates so that they do not miss any important event in the admission process. All deadlines have to be met to be participate in the examination and admission events.

If the students appear for just WBJEE Paper 1 (Mathematics), they will not be allotted any rank. These students will not be considered eligible for admissions. For allotment, the students will have to attempt both Paper 1 and 2 of WBJEE.

There are many private colleges that participate in WBJEE counselling. Some popular private colleges that will accept students based on their WBJEE scores are Heritage Institute of Technology, Techno India University, Haldia Institute of Technology, and more. List of colleges will be available soon so that  students can select their choice for counselling.

Yes, there a self-financing institutes included in the WBJEE counselling process. In the self-financing institutes, the 10% approved seats will be open for JEE Main qualified candidates. These students do not require WBJEE scores for admission.

WBJEE is conducted annually to select eligible students for admission. The students are allotted into the BTech and BPharm Government and Self-financing institutes of the state of West Bengal. For admissions into these institutes, WBJEE scores are accepted, with a small percentage of seats reserved for JEE Main candidates.
