Yes, UIET Chandigarh reserves seats for various category of students. Candidates get a seat in BE course based on their JEE Main score. Below is reservation policy followed at UIET:

As per the UIET Chandigarh, cutoff for Round 4 in 2023, the closing ranks for all BE specialisations ranged from 44170 to 146444. The most competitive specialisation has been Computer Science and Engineering with a closing rank of 44170, followed by Information Technology with 53185 rank.
Analysis of cut offs for previous years for Computer Science and Engineering reveals that, UIET Chandigarh has seen a declining trend compared to 2022. SRCC Placements 2024 has been recently concluded for Phase 1 with 160+ placement offers. 44 Top Recruiters took part in the Phase 1 of Placement Drive. Some of the top recruiters are McKinsey & Co, Boston Consulting Group, Deutsche Bank, AB InBev, Accenture Strategy etc. During SRCC Placements 2024, the average package stood at INR 10.15 LPA and the highest package was recorded at INR 35 LPA.

The Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati (IIIT Guwahati) offerd two years M.Tech programme under multiple sprcialisations, including Computer Science & Engineering. The BTech CSE eligibility criteria is as follows:
- Candidates with BE/BTech degree in Computer Science and Engineering/ Information Technology / equivalent programme.

UIET Chandigarh admission to BTech is based on JEE Main score. The inter-se merit of the candidates for BE admission will be determined on the basis of All India Rank (AIR) obtained in JEE Main only, except in the Sports Category and the Defence Category. After completion of the selection rounds, BE candidates have to participate in JAC Counselling and provide their preferred institute. Once the seat is allotted, candidates need to pay course fee to confirm their seat.

Candidates must carry a valid photo ID proof approved by the government on the examination day. Officials at the test centre verify the identity of the candidate with the help of admit card, photo ID proof and official records with them. Some of the documents that can be carried along with tyhe IIHMR U MAT admit card include:
- Adhaar card
- Passport
- Voter's ID card
- PAN card
Candidates who do not have a valid photo ID proof will no0t be allowed to enter the exam hall to take IIHMR U MAT exam.
