As per the official GCET syllabus, the candidates will have to study topics and units from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. It is to be noted that the syllabus of GCET will be similar to the 12th standard qualifying entrance exam. The authorities will prepare the GCET question paper by referring to the official syllabus. Before and during the exam preparation, the candidates are advised to check the topics and units mentioned in the GCET syllabus carefully.

Candidates will be able to check the GCET exam pattern online at dte.goa.gov.in. The detailed information on how the entrance examination will be held can be checked through the exam pattern of GCET. No other mode will be used by the authorities to release the official exam pattern. Important details such as the exam mode, duration, nature of questions, marking scheme and more will be available through the GCET exam pattern. Before preparation, the candidates are advised to check the exam pattern carefully.

The requirements for MEng in Mechanical Engineering are mentioned below:
12th- Applicants should have completed the standard XII awarded by the CISCE/CBSE, or another recognised state exam board
Applicants with 75% may be considered for admission
Required Subject: Maths, Physics, Physical Science, English
PTE- Marks - 54/90
IELTS- Marks - 6/9
With minimum test score of 5.5 in each section

LPU ranked 50th in Engineering stream, as per the Ministry of education government of India, among private and government universities under NIRF. .
The eligibility of course is - Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST*.For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium or an equivalent subject.

GCET paper will have objective questions. For each question, four options will be available. Candidates will have to select the correct answer and submit it.

In GCET, students do not have to complete each section of question paper in an allotted time. Exam has to be completed within 2 hours. No extra time will be given.
