Vel Tech University offers direct admission to the third year For admission to the BTech Lateral Entry course, there is minimum eligibility criteria that need to be fulfilled before applying for the course. Those who are interested to apply for this course must pass Diploma in Engineering/ Technology from the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or its equivalent. As there is no entrance exam required for admission, students will be selected based on their merit performance in the previous qualifying exam.

No, it is not mandatory to qualify for VTUEEE, only if aspirants get more than 60% aggregate in their previous qualifying exam as per the minimum eligibility criteria. In this case, they can get direct admission to a four-year course of BTech at Vel Tech. Yes, Vel Tech offers a four-year BTech and a three-year BTech (Lateral Entry) course. These courses are offered across 15 specialisations and further other sub-specialisations. Some of the popular ones are Aeronautical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Biotechnology, etc. Apart from that, students can also get direct admission to the third year of BTech through Lateral Entry.

NIT Durgapur offers an MTech course for a duration of two years in a full-time mode. National Institute of Technology Durgapur offers over five specialisations under its MTech. Below are some of the NIT Durgapur MTech specialisations:   

For NIT Durgapur M.Tech admission, candidates must apply for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. GATE is an online national-level examination conducted for Master of Engineering (ME), Masters in Technology (MTech) and direct PhD admissions to IITs, NITs, IIITs and other institutes/universities across India. The exam is scheduled between February 4 and 12. 

NIT Durgapur M.Tech CSE placements data has not been released on the official website of the institute. However, during the National Institute of Technology Durgapur M.Tech placements 2022, a total number of 48 students got the placement offer. NIT Durgapur CSE average package offered was INR 21.45 LPA in 2023 placements. It was INR 18.24 LPA during 2022 placements indicating an increase in the package. Besides, The 2023 placement session concluded with 84.66% of the BTech batch placed. A total of 187 companies visited the campus offering 746 job offers to BTech students. The NIT Durgapur average package for BTech stood at INR 13.62 LPA and the highest package offered was INR 70 LPA. 

For admissions in B.Tech. at Arya College of Engineering and Information Technology, Jaipur, candidates are required to have at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ ST/ OBC non- creamy layer/ MBC non creamy layer students) or above in class 12^th or equivalent in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised board. For LEEP admissions (Lateral Entry in Engineering programs) candidates need to have a Diploma degree in Engineering from an AICTE approved institution with at least 50% marks or above from a recognised board/ university.
