NIT Silchar outscores NIT Agartala in terms of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2022 in the Engineering category. NIT Silchar was ranked 38, whereas, NIT Agartala was ranked 80 in the year 2022 by NIRF. However, academically, there is not much difference between the two. Talking about the fees of both the NITs, NIT Agartala M.Tech fee will range between INR 1.4 Lacs - INR 3.5 lakh. For NIT Silchar, the M.Tech fee is INR 1.4 lakh.

The opening cutoff rank for NIT Agartala Round 1 for the BTech CSE course was 291. The closing rank for the NIT Agartala BTech CSE course for Round 6 was 58163. Candidates seeking admission to the National Institute of Technology Agartala BTech course must visit the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) to apply online.

No, admission to the M.Tech courses is only through GATE in NITs. There is no other provision for admission. Furthermore, after GATE, it is also crucial that the candidates with scores equal to or more than the cutoff take part in CCMT counselling. The final selection is based on merit in both selection rounds.

Candidates with a bachelor’s or an equivalent degree in an appropriate branch of Engineering of a minimum four-year duration are eligible to apply. Eligible students further need to take the GATE exam. Candidates are shortlisted based on their GATE score following which they are called for CCMT Counselling. Further, the seat allotment is done on the basis of merit in the national-level exam, counselling, and cutoff for NIT Rourkela.

No, direct admission is not available for the MTech course at IIIT Allahabad. The institute admits students based on a valid GATE entrance exam score, followed by the CCMT counselling process.

Candidates taking admission to an MTech programme shall have a valid BE/BTech degree in a relevant discipline with at least 60% aggregate (55% for SC/ST) from a recognised university. The candidates wanting to pursue M.Tech from IIITA need to take the GATE exam. Candidates with a valid GATE score are called for the CCMT Counselling rounds based on cutoff marks. Further, based on performance in the counselling round, seat allotment is carried out.
