IIIT Bhagalpur offers BTech programme in four specialisations : Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Mechatronics & Automation Engineering, and Mathematics and Computing . The cutoff score for BTech CSE for the year 2023 is 49435. 47148 and 42877 was the Cutoff score for the year 2021 and 2022 repectively. As seen from cutoffs score of the past two years we can conclude that competition for the BTsch CSE has rose higher compare to the previous two year.

To get admission to M.Tech at NIT Trichy, candidates must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria. Aspirants need to be graduated with minimum 60% aggregate with BE/BTech from a recognised University. Admission is conducted based a valid GATE score. The applicant further must submit the documents at the time of form filling and admission procedure as a proof of eligibility.

As admission to IIIT Bhagalpur BTech progrmme is entirely based on JEE Main exam, therefore, candidates are to submit documents that is relevant for the JEE Main exam. Before JEE Main 2024 registration, students must keep the following documents and information ready for a smooth application process:
- Valid email id and mobile number
- Academic details related to the Class 10 and Class 12 qualifying exams
- Scanned copy of the category certificate (if applicable)
- Scanned copy of the PwD certificate (if applicable)
- Scanned photograph and signature as per the specification mentioned by the NTA

GATE Round 6 has been released for admission to the M.Tech courses. As per NIT Trichy cutoff 2023, the GATE Round 6 closing rank was 637 for General category candidates in All India quota for Computer Science & Engineering. Further, from comparing with the last two years' closing ranks, the competition has gradually increased for the current year. In the year 2021 & 2022, the last closing rank for M.Tech CSE were 753 & 653, respectively.

IIIT Bhagalpur BTech admission is done basis JEE Main score. Students with 75 perent marks in PCM in class twelve can apply online. The application process includes three stages.
