IGE campus does not have a hostel facility for both male and female students. However, there is one hostel for female students which is very near to the campus. The hostel facility is under construction at IGE and will be functional soon.

Institute of Genetic Engineering is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) and degree for the courses offered is also awarded by same. MAKAUT is a UGC-approved university, thus degree courses at IGE are also valid nationally and internationally both.

Yes, IGE is a well-known institute. The institute is accredited by NAAC. The institute was established in 2003 and has successfully completed 20 years of smooth running this year. The institute offers 10 UG and 3 PG-level courses. Courses at IGE are offered with minimal fees which makes studying here affordable.

For admission to Amrita School of Engineering, Chennai programme, candidates have to submit few documents at the time of filling online application. The list of documents required for application is given below: 

• Scanned Class 10, Class 12 and graduation marksheet
• Leaving Certificate
• Aadhaar Card
• Passport-size photograph
• Signature

If you are from a reserved category (SC/ST/OBC), you have a good chance of getting into a government college. Most government colleges end at 10,000, so to get a government college and a good stream, you should try to get a rank below 5,000.

Focus on your preparation and try to score a decent rank within 3,000 (general)

Seats in all Government and Government Sponsored Polytechnics are reserved for candidates of Land Looser Category and have valid JEXPO rank

JAC Delhi Counselling is conducted for BTech admissions to all three DSEU, DTU and NSUT. The basis of JAC Delhi counselling is the JEE Main score of the candidate. The eligibility criteria for BTech admissions at the Amrita School of Engineering Chennai campus is that candidates should have a minimum of 55% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics separately. Further, the candidate should also have a minimum of 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.?
