There is no entrance exam; instead Dayalbagh Educational Institute accepts admission into the Diploma in engineering programme through academic merit. Candidates will be selected based on their performance in their qualifying examination.

Selected candidates will get the chance to register for the counselling process in which they have to fill out the branch preferences, and each candidate will get the Diploma engineering branch based on their academic performance.

The last step is to report to the admission cell at DEI Agra for document verification and fee payment.

The eligibility criteria for admission to the Polytechnic at Dayalbagh Educational Institute is as follows:

• Candidate should have passed class 10 or 12 with a minimum of 55% aggregate (50% aggregate for reserved categories).

Candidate planning to be admitted to Dayalbagh Educational Institute (DEI) must apply through the university’s official website for the academic merit round. The application fee for admission to Diploma engineering courses at DEI Agra is INR 270.

Besides the application fee, the three-year Diploma in engineering total tuition fee is INR 16,900.

A candidate must have passed Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for reserved category candidates) to be eligible for the B.Tech programme offered by Maharaja Agrasen University, and for Lateral Entry, the candidate must have passed a Diploma in a relevant stream with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved category candidates) in aggregate.

For admission to the polytechnic, i.e. after 10^th Diploma programme offered at Dayalbagh Educational Institute (DEI), the candidate must fulfil the following requirements:

Dayalbagh Educational Institute (DEI) after 10^th diploma, i.e., the application process usually concludes between April and May. Candidates willing to apply after 10^th Diploma programmes offered at DEI Agra must apply within the window period fixed by the university.

Dayalbagh Educational Institute inducts students into its Diploma engineering programme through academic performance in the qualifying examination. Candidates who qualify for the academic merit round can further register for the counselling period, which involves document verification and fee payment leading to final allotment of seat.

Candidates seeking admission to NIT Puducherry have to apply and appear for JEE Mains followed by seat allotment process via JoSAA/ CSAB. The process to apply is given below:

For admissions to BBA Programmes, the candidate needs to register with CUET credentials in IMU-CET portal. For all other programmes, candidates who wish to apply on basis of CUET/CMAT/MAT/CAT/GATE/PGCET scores should apply during Counselling Process. The portal of counselling is different from IMU-CET registration portal and will open after release of IMU-CET rank list.
