Civil Engineering is much broader than Architecture and deals with the design, planning, and construction of buildings, roads, bridges, dams, tunnels, and other infrastructure projects. Dear aspirant, Glad to meet you. The admission of candidates to the courses offered by IEM Kolkata is done on the basis of scores obtained in the IEM Joint Entrance Exam (IEMJEE). For admission to the B.Tech programme, the selection is done through IEMJEE scores and Admission to the M.Sc programme is through JAM/ PGET/ IEMJEE scores. For MBA, admissions are done on the basis of rank secured in CAT/JEMAT or IEMJEE. The shortlisted students have to appear for counseling. Final selection is based on the performance in the GD, PI and counseling rounds.

 a comparison, between IEM (KOLKATA) & HERITAGE, no doubt IEM is the best private institute & the oldest in Eastern India. As I am an ex student of IEM so I know that they provides best education and also they are offering multiple job opportunities to the students every year since 1989. the highest placement record and the highest percentage of placement happening every year comparing with other colleges.
