It is possible to secure a placement with a backlog in Germany, but this depends upon the university you are enrolled in. You can get a job as long as you have cleared your university backlogs before the placements.

No, backlogs do not affect German visa directly. You are eligible to apply for a German student visa once you have received your admission offer from a university in Germany. Hence, if the university has accepted your backlogs, you will have no problem acquiring a German visa.

Yes, some German universities do accept students with backlogs in their undergraduate degree. However, there are several other factors that they take under consideration, such as the overall academic percentage, work experience, GMAT/GRE scores, language proficiency scores, and more. Some German universities which accept backlogs are the Technical University of Munich, GISMA Business School, Berlin School of Business & Innovation (BSBI), SRH Hochschule Berlin, SRH Hochschule Heidelberg, and more.

Having a larger number of active backlogs can lead to visa rejection, as it may indicate poor academic performance. However, if you have cleared your backlogs, they typically do not affect your visa application negatively.

The term "number of backlogs" refers to the subjects or exams that a student has failed and needs to retake. Each failed subject counts as one backlog until it is cleared in subsequent attempts.

Applicants who have backlogs will have to have a proper plan and get their backlogs one at a time. The best way to deal with them in the minimum possible time is by:
Creating a thorough study plan.
Timing the schedule properly and sticking to it.
Practice and revise as many times as possible.
Keep a positive approach.
