A safe score in GATE is considered to be a score that is desirable for admissions to IITs, NITs, and top PSUs like ONGC, IOCL, Power Grid, etc. A GATE safe score can be around 80 or above, depending on the branch applied for. With a GATE score of 90+, there are high chances of getting admission in IITs and NITs for the most demanding branches like CS, ME, CE, EC, etc., or qualifying in PSU recruitment. The exam is conducted annually at various JEST Exam centres across India. It is conducted at the level of an MSc or advanced BSc in Physics or Computer Science. Although, it is not as difficult as the other big competitive exams still it demands a decent amount of time, consistency and dedication to crack this exam to get admission to the preferred institute.
