Students who want to appear in the UPES PAT 2026 exam must note that the exam is conducted in online mode only. No, there is negative marking in the exam hence applicants need to appear all the questions that are asked in the exam even if they don't know the solution or answer of any question.

Chances are less for out of syllabus questions in CBSE 10th board exam question papers. CBSE Class 10 board exams 2026 will be based on CBSE 10th syllabus 2026 entirely. If any questions are out of syllabus, students will be awarded the marks for it. 

You are advised to go through the CBSE 10th syllabus 2026 and study all the topics mentioned there.

It is actually different for everyone since everyone has their own speed. It also depends on the paper- if its lengthy or not. There is a Cool-off time of 15 minutes in addition to the writing time. Use the 'Cool-off time' to get familiar with questions and to plan your answers. Read questions carefully before answering. Read the instructions carefully and you can analyze your entire question paper no matter which subject is it, and mentally set time for each sections. Since there are mcqs too, you can solve them in the 15 mins cool off time and thus save you a lot of time.

The total number of questions asked in the UPES PAT exam is 125. The UPES PAT exam pattern comprised a total of 20 questions from English Language Comprehension section. There will be 35 questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology section.

No, JEE Main is not compulsory  for the selection of candidates to BTech programme. The college also considers scores of Vedam Scholastic Aptitude Test (VSAT). The qualified candidates must also perform well in PI round conducted by the college.
