The XH, XL, and XE in the GATE 2026 exam stands for the following -

• XH - Humanities and Social Sciences
• XL - Life Sciences
• XE - Engineering Sciences

The GATE pattern for the above papers are different. Candidates must check the GATE 2026 information brochure to know more about the subjects.

Candidates do not have to re-register from the start. However, they have to fill certain details in the form again like the exam centre, exam pereference, etc. Also, such candidates have to pay INR 600 to apply for the AEEE phase 2 exam.

For admission to BBA course at Ramaiah Institute of Business Studies, students need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. The selection criteria for this course are merit-based and candidates must pass Class 12. Candidates who have not completed Class 12 are not eligible for admission.

This year, 11 new cities have been included in the GATE exam centers. Candidates had the facility to opt for the exam center at the time of GATE registration.
