IIT Roorkee has released the official syllabus in the GATE 2025 information brochure on official GATE 2025 website, i.e. gate2025.iitr.ac.in. There are no changes expected in the GATE syllabus for the existing 30 papers. However, candidates are advised to check the official GATE 2025 information brochure for subject-wise GATE syllabus.

Candidates can apply for either one or maximum two papers only. They must choose the papers from the set of two-paper combinations listed in the GATE information brochure or GATE official website. The choice of appropriate paper is solely based on the candidate. Earlier, the candidates could apply to appear in only one subject.
Now while filling GATE form, candidates can apply for two subject papers from the prescribed set of combinations out of the 30 papers. Candidates who are currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program or who have completed any government approved degree program in Engineer
